So:
5 place grid penalty for Kobayashi
10 place penalty and 25K fine for Vergne
20 second penalty for Maldonado dropping him to 12th and Senna moving up to 10th so getting a point
and still waiting on a decision for Schumacher going through a yellow flag zone with DRS open. (edit: no penalty)
Definitely the best Valencia race ever. Not that that's a huge achievement.

Hamilton was furious I reckon, and I think justifiably so - with hindsight however he may have been better not defending so 'robustly' but then he wouldn't be the racer he is if he didn't .. it was innevitable as someone already stated.
Interesting comment about hamilton to ferrari, if it weren't for Alonso being there I think that would definitely be on the cards, but the Spaniard is never going to allow that to happen. Possibly go to RBR and replace Webbter but I really hope not. No I think Hamilton will stay where he is, maybe have a performance clause

Fabulous race and a great result for the top 3 and in particular Schumacher (I am not his biggest fan) but I was really pleased for him today, this is the best season I can remember .... so far.

Hamilton's contract is up for renewal isnt' it ?
He is the team number 1 by a country mile this year and McLaren will obvioulsy want to keep him. Last year he was fecking it up, this year the team are fecking it up (every bloody race by the look of it).
I think Hamilton is making the most of the situation and all these glowing words about Alonso are merely a bargaining tool for when the contract talk starts.
He'll never go to Ferrari whist Alonso is there. Alonso speaks perfect Italian and is clearly the head honcho in that team. Hamilton would be an outsider at best.

I thought it was a shame that Alonso got in front of Grosjean after the restart, as I think Grosjean was faster and stood the best chance of chasing down Vettel. Whether he'd have managed it I don't know; probably Vettel would have managed the gap. But we were cheated out of that thanks to some dodgy French electrics. I don't recall alternator failure ever being given as a reason for a DNF before.
This race was looking like most of last year: lots of close racing and action down the field, but one driver off on his own at the very front. But I really quite enjoyed it in the end. And Schumacher, who was causing a "post office on a Tuesday" queue at the start coming through to finish 3rd just shows how unpredictable F1 is at the moment.
So much for a different winner for each race, but at least Sky seem to be giving us a different ex-driver pundit for each race.
Well, my biggest fears appear to be coming true. Looks like Newey's genius may once again produce a dominating car for the rest of the season, if like me you believe what Gary tells us here

I guess Silverstone will be the real proof of the pudding.

Well, I think an applause should go out for Webber. 19th to 4th on a track you can't overtake on.
Is he in with a shout this year? Qualy says that at 4-4 he surely isn't Vettel's b1tch this year, although it has gone Seb's way in the last two races.
Hopefully he can put somne god results in when he too has a car that works.

Marussia test driver, Maria de Villota, crashes in a test at Duxford aerodrome. First time in the car, on her installation lap and she's crashed into the team's support vehicle. She has been transferred to hospital and a further statement will be issued when her condition is known.
No ... I'd never heard of her either.
