Another Brit in F1. Chilton signed to Marussia
That was always going to happen. His Dad was Chairman of Aon Corp and paid for his seat
Not true.

His Dad funded as far as GP2, after that he told Max he was on his own.

(From a workmate who is a good friend of the family).

And if you think I am going to believe that, you might as well tell me gullible has been removed from the dictionary.

That is a statement from the primary school of publicity.

You can certainly see evidence of Aon sponsorship on his GP2 car: GP2

But Aon are not a major partner of Marussia F1 as yet. Who knows what the 2013 car will look like though.

Who knows what underhand deals are going on under NDAs.

Well, Aon are involved with Marussia at the Carlin GP2 team (Aon owns it, Marussia sponsors them), so who knows?

Either way, another British driver is a good thing, and pay drivers are becoming more common nowadays (as you say in Post #1), even McLaren have succumbed. (Ferrari too, really, as Massa is a pay driver of a different sort).

Sky have a 2012 review show on now, and again at 3pm (and no doubt repeated a dozen times over the next few weeks).
