I don't know, I think he will go to Ferrari.

In my wrongness about the Red Bull deal, I'd thought Red Bull were the kind of team who'd want two top, number one drivers, so Raikonnen was the obvious choice, whereas Ferrari have more recently gone for a number one and number two. Massa for his faults has proved he's willing to play the number two role, which presumably Raikonnen would not, but then Massa's poor results have hurt them in the constructors so it's possible they're thinking of doing something different. And there's the question of how Alonso would feel about it (I don't buy that Alonso is going to leave Ferrari).

Of course in the last two years of Raikonnen's term at Ferrari he was outscored by Massa, and then was got rid of a year early at great expense. I don't see Ferrari going down the same road again.

Spa this weekend. Unfortunately I've gone and got a job, so I won't be able to watch the practice anymore ;-(.

Interesting qualifying session yesterday which should make for an interesting race tomorrow.

Watch out for Di Resta if it is dry. The Force India is very fast in a straight line. and it's relative lack of speed in sector 2 won't hurt as much as overtaking is nigh on impossible there.

I really have no time for Di Resta very over-rated IMO

For a Spa grand prix that was dare I say it 'average', and once again Adrian Newey proves his genius and has pulled out all the stops, that RBR car had some serious straight-line speed today, it sailed passed Hamilton as though he was standing still.

Di Resta had a dreadful start but so much for my prediction

Hamilton drove Eau Rouge very poorly on the first lap, missing the apex of the right hand part of it by quite a lot which really hurt his exit speed, making it even easier for Vettel to sail past.

Having said that, the outcome was inevitable whether it happened on the first lap or not.

Yeah, Vettel had way more speed up through Eau Rouge on the opening lap and cruised past Hamilton

Webber had a crap start again - too close to Vettel so they had to make sure he wouldn't be a problem.

It just seems too obvious now - if he doesn't have a KERS issue or gearbox change, he has a bad start.

As much as I like Ricciardo, if he joins the team, Horner will lose all control and Helmut will gain it all.

Bad start aside look at the gap Vettel had while still looking after tyres. If Webber had the ability he would have been third. I like the guy but he'd just not quite in the league of the guys on the podium. In 2010 I'm convinced that car was dominant but Vettel was still getting to grips with it so the championship was close.

I'm not convinced Ricciardo is the best man for the second seat. To hell with validating the Toro Rosso program, Vettel already did that, they could go 10 years without a promotion and the fact is the program gave them at least 4 (8) championships (yes I'm presuming they win 2013).

Only McLaren have had that kind of look with a relative newbie and they blew it.

Hamilton went too deep into La Source at the start too, which would have helped Vettel. Vettel was always going to win, but it might not have been quite so black and white had he not been able to get past in the first lap. I think Hamilton would have been able to hold onto the lead for a little while.

It was dull race, which is a shame for a great venue like Spa. Good result for Alonso, considering where he started, but I'm sure it's now just a question of how soon Vettel secures the championship. If I were in charge of a team, I'd be writing off 2013 and putting everything into beating Red Bull in 2014.

so true! Thank The Lord for bbc iplayer I say It really Is great being able to watch a dull race like that in 5 minutes (first few opening laps then block skipping quickly through to the end trying to keep awake ) then going to bed last thing of a day.

To have watched the whole race live from start to finish would have been soul destroying. I really would have felt I had lost part of my life i could not get back and felt guilty for not doing something more constructive with my day. To subscribe to the F1 sky package would make matters worse knowing that I had helped line Bernie's pockets too for such a dire show of "racing" (if you can actually call it that)

Well, perhaps the BBC should have kept it then (then again you do have to put up with eddie jordan and coulthud ... ), then none of us would have to pay SKY to watch F1, as it stands you can only watch 9 races 'live' this year on the beeb ... don't even get me started on the cricket coverage, also sold to SKY by the BBC .. f@#kers.

I have to say that SKY is way better coverage than the BBC.
