Let the conspiracy theory continue. Vettel loses KERS and has huge power oversteer on the exit of Spoon curve.

The front row time was achieved on his next lap where the KERS was working again.

Really, the conspiracy theory is about some sort of traction control fed off KERS. No KERS and suddenly the back end of the car gets very loose

I am being frivolous of course

Maybe goldenballs has had a bit of help...
Accusations of secret traction control? It's 1994 all over again.

It would be ironic if KERS were to be Red Bull's secret weapon, what with all the problems it's caused them. Of course it's cobblers: winning by 32 seconds is not that amazing, especially when second place Rosberg was holding everybody else up and had a problem with his front wing. And where was their big advantage in Korea?
I watched Vettles lap with interest when his KERS unit failed ... i think it was the spoon corner and he applied the power way too early (as one might if one were used to TC for instance)causing him to near lose the back and go wide on the track ... coincidence maybe ... I suspect not but then I have never believed he is very talented (comparatively speaking of course) at all, and rather ordinary ... much like DiResta

Not ironic really, as they would be using it beyond its intended design.
Perhaps thats why they have more failures with their KERS systems...

I don't think he had KERS on the last lap. That's what they were all saying afterwards.

Interesting to see Toro Rosso using S2000 rear calipers.

Anyone else watching the 1998 race? It's quite exciting, though I have a feeling Hakkinnen's going to win the championship.

Listening to Midweek Motorsport (Radio Le Mans - Weds 8pm), their F1 pundit (Nick Damon) reckons it is a deliberately over efficient Kers energy recovery system. Such that if it over harvests the maximum energy it is allowed it 'stops' harvesting in a deliberate frequency in the braking zone. Working something similar to ABS. Hence the strange tire marks on the track in the corners AND the ability to travel faster through the corners. Likewise, when they dispense their Kers energy on the start line! it doesn't have to be in one smooth flow, it could be used at a given frequency to act in a way similar to traction control. Clever, if true.

I just do not believe that the little sh1t fettle is that much faster than everyone else, cheating would explain a lot.

At least he had to work for that one. He'd be a lot less unpopular if he had to race for his wins a bit more often.

Webber and Vettel wouldn't look at each other after qualifying, and again on the podium obviously Webber didn't want to stand anywhere near his team mate.
