In all honesty I don't blame him. The team is now fully behind Grosjean so Kimi is not fighting on equal terms. No Sense trying to cling on to 3rd in the WDC for a team that likely won't pay for the points he nets them when he has a prime opportunity to be fighting fit for the next season that he will be paid for.

That it helps his future team as well is just gravy.
