What isn't good is the lack of sense of speed.
More power than grip is the ideal setup for entertainment.
More power than the chassis can handle is good to watch (and fun to drive)

Hey my parents kinda love me but they still tell me when I'm wrong.
There is something always kinda sexy about turbo whistle and the sound of the F1 cars makes now is basically all turbo whistle.
The tech is amazing and as F1 is as much about the driving as it is about being a showcase of the best British Engineering (basically!) I think it is a good ambassador now for how we British engineers can still lead the way in new and innovative, cutting edge technology...that will eventually filter down to normal cars.

I thought a couple of the cars sounded nicer on deceleration than acceleration! Think it was Mercedes that sounded a bit fruity. Like an AMG on 'roids
What I mean is, when you look at the 'in car' the noise doesnt relate to the speed so much any more. A screaming NA engine gives a sence of excitement and speed.

But it can't be that simple. Chris Evans was talking about this this morning, and had Christian Horner and Ron Dennis on. Ron was saying they need to return to higher rev limits and more fuel - but obviously that's another redesign of the engines that certainly won't happen for a few years. But the infamous 80s 1.5 V6 turbos certainly weren't short of noise with much less revs, so why are these so quiet?
