A bit processional with less action that in the previous races.

What struck me today was how much more reclined Alonso's position is in the cockpit than most other drivers. Either that or his visor has a strange rake ...

Average race this week (China), glad to see Hamilton showing the way once again (from an English perspective), and great to see Ricciardo showing Vettel the way also (from a sports fan point of view), it's also great to see RBR have all their advantages nullified (from an F1 point of view)

Barcelona next, this is according to Alonso and he should know, a track suited to Red Bull as it is a circuit all about slow corners, somewhere the RB car excels at thanks to Newey. Nonetheless, I think Ferrari and in particular Mercedes will dominate the race with Hamilton once again higher placed than his team mate, and likely taking the top step .... I think the other top teams will feature much more in Spain, looking forward to it.

Vettel is a spoilt little brat - got an arse on him when told to let his team mate past and then got pissed off when he was overtaken by a caterham.

just goes to show that vettel is not great but purely average. loving the fact that Riccardo is beating him although not on points but in merit.
Keep it up Riccardo.

With the new numbers on their cars. I wonder what happens when a another person wins the championship and wants number 1 on there car.
as vettel has it.

Number One always stays with the current world champion, so whoever wins it next year will have the number one available to them, Vettel will have to choose another, he probably already has a number selected.

Vettel has already selected #5 as his permanent number.

Just reading how the race has been made 2 laps shorter because they cocked up the chequered flag:

A bit of a dull race again, and it's really looking like nobody is going to catch Hamilton. Most significant is Alonso getting third (and could have had second) and most importantly being ahead of the Red Bulls. That's a big turn around for Ferrari.

"I think when Vettel has a car like the rest in the field, if he wins, he will be greatly acknowledged and be one of the legends of F1, but if someday he has a car like that of the other drivers and is fourth, fifth or seventh, then his four titles will be bad news for him because people will view these last four years in an even worse way"

Fernando Alonso December 2013.

Good quote and quite true!

Redbull are going to have their hands full with him this year.
