Not driving very well was his excuse.

I am hoping for a good race - for this we need, at a minimum, Nico away first and ideally someone - Vettel or one of the Williams perhaps, to jump Lewis.

That's your colours nailed to the mast.

Usually a good race at Canada, looking forward to watching it.

A rare event. An exciting race. As seems usual these days it took a mechanical/electrical malfunction to make it thus - but that makes it just like the old days!

Have we now discovered the Mercs Achilles heel..

Thrilling race, just a shame Massa didn't do the business.

Great race, Nico got lucky on several occasions ... nearly running it into the wall under pressure was one of them - but you got to hand it to him he kept in there, you've got to be in it to win it as they say. Ricciardo really shows Vettle up ... gotta love that .... and a nice guy to boot, loved how he passed his bottle of champagne to his engineer on the podium .. great race, Canada never fails ... more like this please!

Should Rosberg have been penalised for jumping the chicane whilst under pressure from Hamilton? I think so and very surprise the steward thought otherwise.

My view, on all these things, had their not been a run off at the chicane, he'd have been in the kitty litter or the wall, so to keep in the race was a bonus, to keep the lead was not right. It wouldn't have made any difference as Hamiltons brakes would have failed, but I think the stewards got that wrong. I thought that rule book states 'if an advantage is gained' which of course it was, he stretched his lead from 0.5 to 1.5 seconds by cutting the corner, Hamilton would likely have got past in the second DRS zone as was right on the gearbox going into the chicane, the closest he had been...

Probably. Nobody really wants to see the stewards deciding the race, but he did gain a pretty obvious advantage. One of those 5 second penalties would have done, which would have put Vettel into second.

I was cheering on Massa. I feel slightly guilty for his crash with Perez as at that moment I was shouting "go on - get him now Filipe".

Great race.

As DC said, these older tracks are fare more interesting than the contemporary bore-adromes.

I was gutted for Massa; but overtaking Alonso earlier must've been very gratifying!

Definately interesting to watch - I managed to stay awake through the whole of this one.

Wierd how both the Mercs lost their power at pretty much the same time - my theory is Bernie has made a ray gun that fries their electronics in order to keep the season exciting
