I can't help but think 600bhp is very conservative. People get more than that from 2l road car engines with half the rpm.

Plus F1 was getting 1500bhp out of 1.6 turbos in the 80s (even if they didn't last more than a few qualifying laps).

Maybe the boost is quite limited. Or maybe those are the limits they have to work to to achieve the required fuel economy.

Fuel flow is limited to 100kg/hour.

So i suspect there will be some good 'push to pass' power options from the engines.

Boost is unlimited but a typical maximum is 3.5 Bar - see here for some good details, apparently the Renault F1 Engine will be similar to that found in a Clio
