F1 is really dull at the moment ... imo we (the fans and the sport) need some drastic changes.
The drastic change we need is for everyone to stop talking down the sport. There was never this much moaning even when it was boring; i.e. when Vettel was winning lights to flag all the time, or through all the Schumacher years. At least now there's a battle between the team mates, even if it is always one team that comes 1-2.
It's still boring compared to most other motorsport today. Moto GP is in another league for excitement. Even the teams admit change is needed.

Did anyone watch Indy Car at Fontana yesterday?

Exciting!

Many different people Fighting for the lead. It was fun to watch. That's what F1 needs.

If anyone has been watching Sky F1's coverage of the Goodwood Festival, surely now you will agree David Croft is the journeyman's journeyman presenter. Combine him with Pinkham and it's cliché and inanity guaranteed.

I need a lie down ...

I watched the season decider of Formula E yesterday.

A very interesting concept and was all up in the air until the last few laps so very exciting.

Whether that was just coincidence, or the rules / regs help create a closer championship I am not sure, but I can see it growing in popularity. A few odd rules, but I do like the bonus points for fastest lap.

As city tracks however (this was battersea park), there is no 'prestige' from the tracks and they all look a little narrow to me so little change to overtake without taking another out (which happened a few times).

It's different to F1 in many ways and needs to be that way, but I think F1 could learn a few things from it if they want to make it more attractive and accessible to fans.

I enjoyed it.

I find it incredible that Maclaren cannot even get any practise laps in? What can possibly be so badly wrong with the car? They are not a new team and Honda had a few years to develop an engine, so they should (by now) be able to get a car to turn a few laps.

A leak apparently in Button's car.

Eddie Jordan quite scathing of Maclaren in a recent BBC interview, his view was that whilst the road car programme is still live, they will not produce a competitive F1 package. Interesting view.

I wish David Croft would stop suggesting that the teams should do a "ctrl-alt-del" everytime someone mentions software issues

Felipe, Valtteri is faster than you.

Williams should've put it all on the line, moved Massa out of the way and pitted Valtteri before the Mercs.

Yeah, i would have to agree with that ... pretty dull race really even the wet weather didn't have any considerable effect on the tedium of the event. Going to be giving up my F1 subscription to SKY next year at this rate!
