Hamilton denied access to the Wimbledon finale, they didn't like his outfit.

Made me chuckle.
There's a touch of pot / kettle in that statement from Ron!

As I understand it the dress code for the Royal box would have been advised to him in advance. So he was either being a knob, or a bit thick. Or a combination of the two.

Sir Wee Jackie Stewart wouldn't have made such a gaff.

Nor would he spoken to HM out of turn.

Crass arrogant behaviour by Hammy.

Haters gonna hate.
It's not arrogance. Arrogance would have been him taking to Twitter or Facebook calling it an outrage that he wasn't let into the Royal Box. He missed out because he got the dress code wrong. And as for the Royal etiquette blunder, how many people know about that rule, or would even remembered it if you were about to met the Queen? I know I'd be rather nervous if I had to sit next to her Majesty for a spot of lunch.

You don't think there are enough people around LH to tell him about the dress code?

It's arrogant to think that the rules shouldn't apply to you, or more to the point, that it isn't worth your time to find out what the rules are. I'm sure if you knew you were going to meet Her Maj you'd bother to find out what you should and shouldn't do.

I don't know if he was making some kind of point, or just being an idiot.

He was offered a tie as you can sometimes expect from such establishments with dress codes - he obviously decided it didn't go with his shirt
