So not unexpectedly Phillipe Massa has announced his retirement.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/37244253

To me he is one of the greats if the sport. He would have been a world champion has it been for bad luck. (did Glock really slow down on the last corner )
I was up close to him in Budpest this year as he arrived at the hotel after Quali and he was so keen to enagage with the fans and have his photo taken with them, whereas others such as Verstappen didnt even acknowledge the fans hanging around outside.

So Button to Williams next year ?

Button is going to retire this year. McLaren will go with Vandoorne almost definitely. Williams will go for a young driver, maybe even try and get Perez. Who knows what Renault will do, but they won't have a front running car, midfield if they are lucky.

So if I was Button, I'd call it quits. He is a World Champion, and has been on the scene for 16 years. He has nothing left to prove. Plenty of other things out there to do.

I think the Mercs will be done by the first lap and then yeah. Monza is a Hamilton stronghold so he has to be favourite!

Button not racing next year: http://www.bbc.co.uk...rmula1/37268226

Possibility of a 2018 drive, though.

I very much doubt he'll race again, even in 2018, although that depends on whether Alonso continues, and that depends on whether the car is any good next year.
