Nice. Certainly a step ahead of a renno 260 as an ownership proposition.

Be interested to see how you get on with it and how practical it is, how much fun etc. Any plans to tinker?

What sold you on the Toyota rather than the Subaru? Warranty?

That's exactly what I was going to ask.

You are a dark horse Mr Graves!

Nice purchase.

Blue and black looks nice.

RE the bhp... 200 is not a lot, but remember the S2000 never really had 240, something like 220 is more realistic plus it has more drivetrain loss and is heavier than the GT86. Same torque figure too.

Good video here:

As a well known Subaru fan, I don't think i'd go for the Subaru version over the Toyota. Can't quite put my finger on why though.

If its s2k quick at that price its a good buy. light is good, the M has made me realise that even though its better than the S in almost every way dynamically, steering, brakes, handling etc. i think the sheer weight will make it a pricey car to own if you see what i mean. this is the antidote and on our congested roads maybe thrill per mph is the key

Agreed.

Best car I ever owned was the Exige. Ok it was like a bat out of hell, but it was more the fact you could have fun at 40mph, where a GT3 or Evo, you have to be doing silly speeds. Small and light is the future.
