[QUOTE=lawnmower__man,Oct 1 2008, 01:32 PM] Sorry Dave - wasn't online yesterday so I've only just seen your question.
In my experience, the answer is yes.
I'll caveat that by saying I only did a few hundred miles with the standard M alloys before changing to the CSLs but it seems that a few people over on the "dark side" forum seem to agree.
They also seem to recommend Falkens as a cheaper alternative too.
Have you killed your Contis already then...?!!

Turn in? Tick
Feel? Tick
Traction? Tick
Smoother ride? Certainly no worse, even with moving to the larger CSLs
Road noise? Didn't really pay enough attention with the Contis on to be able to comment!
Grip? Tick
Tram lining? Again, certainly no worse

I'm caveating my responses heavily on the basis that the few hundred miles with the Contis were the running in miles too though so I wasn't exactly pushing the car!
I would say the biggest difference was the feel. You don't realise how bad the Contis are until you've replaced them with something decent!

Certainly looks like you had a great time Dave so I can't blame you!
Although for some reason I get a strange sense of deja vu, depending on which forum I'm logged into at the time...
