I can agree with this, I was driving my mate's Boxster S again the other night round some local twisties. The engine has a really useful sweetspot at around 5.5k rpm, you can stay in same gear and concentrate on maintaining the attitude of the chassis - the engine really sings at these revs too and you get a feeling of thrust.

I can really respect the car and it does a lot of things right, but I can't love it like the S; with the Boxster you're still merely driving it, the S is much more intense, almost visceral.
Drive the Cayman S and 911 like a loon and their much better to drive thanthe Boxster S, the buzz goes up a couple of notches with those cars. Boxster was always good, but never special enough by comparsion.

I'm getting an NSX

I saw one today close up - latest one with faired in headlights. Looked absolutely awesome, nowhere near as dated as I thought it would be. Amazing how I remember them being huge, but it was TINY! The M3 monstered it.

Loved the interior, absolutely everyone stopped and had a look at it. It had presence in spades. The sort of presence you only get from being developed by Senna. My M3 could have been a 318i parked next to it.

I was amazed by it, and I'm now a member of NSX UK.

I need to gazump a blue one from Nick!

Mike, Senna had some input on the suspension set up (how much is debatable) - I don't think he was consulted on the interior and exterior design

Good for you. An NSX project if I were to come into some money (and had some spare time) remains a regular day dream of mine

You'll be f ucking lucky! Last LBBP facelift was bought unseen 3 hours after the ad went live. Owner was equally stunned. There is a bubble in Hong Kong at the moment.

As you can probably tell, I'm f ucking unlucky...

He merely pointed out the torsional rigidity was wanting and subsequent changes made it what it is today...

I did offer that solution to the Doris, but she's not buying the rationale that the M is a car for her and her kids and the NSX is for me. So it might be a straight up replacement for the M.

I love the efficiency of the thing - 300bhp and still outperforms any number of exotica on real roads.

Nick I've looked at a few threads on NSX UK and they do indeed seem incredibly rare! I'll lend you the wife if you let me have first dibs on the next blue NSX

I wish I had been in a position to buy one when they were a couple of years old. Why the hell did anyone buy a porsche?
