But at the end of the day it just doesn't have enough power to compete. I may be missing the point, but i am not, and never have been a Honda fanboy. I judge cars on their merit and IMHO it's overpriced. The backend has never looked right and the interior is very dated.

Whack an S/C on it and I might change my mind.
My thoughts exactly...

I want to want one more - it's just I *think* i'd be disapponted with it not being hellishly quick for 40k.

I can picture it being very quick on an A/B road, however, and certainly having more fun and character than a lot of stuff. And that's most of the fun.

Interesting topic I think.

hand someone 40k, line up the options and see what you would really choose.

Ah, indeed it would. Some great roads round there! It was my daily drive to work for 8 years.

Gad, here's one for you then...

The new M5 (second hand) is lurking around 45k, as is a second hand V8 M3

So one of them or an NSX - on gut instinct.

M5 - ugly money pit with no manual - no thanks

M3 - can't see the attraction at that money

NSX - very good depreciation, iconic status, exclusivity

only downside is practicality and high visibility, but that wasn't the question

I really like the NSX, but if I had one it would be a weekend toy

and for not much more, you'd be looking a mint 355

in my mind at least, that's a competition the Ferrari will always win

Yeah, but an M5 is a saloon car with a silly engine.

Does it make you feel special? Personal opinion I suppose.

However a 3.2 rare as you like coupe with excellent reliability, wonderul noise and A1 credentials....

As i've said before, if you want a massive blast/rush, get a Superbike. For acceleration thrills, they are just bananas.

Again, depends on the individual.

A few thoughts & myths dispelled.........

The NSX sold in very small numbers, so there aren't many of them about. The market for the NSX is similarly small, but good, clean, original cars regularly sell for good money.

Whilst my car cost over
