The two areas I noticed the biggest difference. I could just throw the S into corners and eat out metres at a time from him, but on the straights I was pretty much keeping even with him so long as I was lightning fast with my gearchanges.
I really must test drive one. In terms of purchase price it could save me a lot of money, and probably give me as much of the thrills as some of the other cars I've been considering. Would also make a fantastic car to drive to the Nurburgring in, as the prospect of doing so in the S is not something I think I'd enjoy till I got there.

Definitely try one. Completely different to the S. I can't think of anything they have in common. Having said that. I'm really pleased I got another S. It's still a great fun car, easily fast enough for 99% of situations and with a unique character.

Yep Shisky looks like it's a GT3 going from this pic, and running the video on top of it.

Agreed. GT3 it is. Perhaps I was just hearing things but I was sure I could hear another British voice (aside from the Scottish bloke in the passenger seat) coming from the back ...

The video is a perfect illustration of how pedestrian motorbikes are on tight corners. I love hammering past bikers (particularly when they're showing off to a passenger) on tight stuff. Always give me a great big

Wasn't over-impressed with Sabine's lines, but then she was driving for thrills rather than for speed.
Also, are you sure that was a 911 GT3 in pursuit. He certainly had no trouble keeping up, but surely you wouldn't get any adults in the rear? Sounded like there were two blokes in the back ...

if you look at the time they did.. it's well within what an S could do with a professional driver like Sabine.. but having the extra weight of passengers, some traffic and just driving for fun - probably added at least 40-50 seconds to the time.
Yeah but according to Saxoboy he was running a Civic 1.5L SOHC 16-valve engine that was running a dodgy induction kit and robbing him of 20 hp
Better ET, better 60ft and better trap says it all IMHO. The clio is fast no doubt but it wouldn't beat me now

Think I made the right choice with the S, but am still tempted by the M5. Followed one out of B&Q at Darnley the other afternoon and we gave it some stick up to the roundabouts at Sainsbury's. Massive grunt ...

this feels similar to mine:

Kobe's right - Sabine (and the other non-famous drivers) offer you the choice between a fast lap (nailing all the apexes beautifully) or a fun lap (ie you spend most of your time looking forwards through the passenger window).
I must do this, one day!

And even more gay than the 04's
