Perhaps I'm closer to chav than rep
TBH the huge spoiler puts me off but to get the more stealth mode car you have to have grey

the only three series you can compare the Sub Sti with is the M3
on the basis that they are both top of their respective ranges
Ah but Jo it will still rattle, squeak and have problems..........;-)
Oh yeah not to mention running costs.....
Personally I found the S2000 makes me smile lots more as its more of a challenge to drive...
But I am weird!

Personally I suspect the STi is more than I need - I'd like to try a WRX with a PPP on it - that might be fine, and a lot less chavvy looking, and a fair bit cheaper..
Edd - it already has a slightly squeaky dash
LOL
Jo just don't do it.
No offence to anyone but its fugly, boring and numb - fast yes theres no doubting that but too easy.
Get the S on a track or airfield and you will remember why you bought it! ;-)

That's what I have the Caterham for !
Whats the point of owning a daily driver that I have to take on a track to remember why I have it - last time I took it out like that I realised it wasn't right for the track - my requirements for a daily car have changed - putting it on the track is no longer one of them...
What I'd like is a car that:
* Has cup holders (sorry!)
* I can swap my shoes before customer meetings without hoppng around in the carpark
* Isn't small and insignificant in the dark on a rainy day on the motorway
* I don't constantly have to worry about it - I can just drive it without having to think all the time about slippy slidey action on corners (although obviously thats always on your mind whatever you drive)
* Can easily fit week/weekends gear in it without squashing it in and having to pack light
* Can fit a towbar for a bike rack and/or Caterham towing
* Is comfortable
* Makes me grin
* Is a bit different
Plus as Chris pointed out to me yesterday, I've always had a Scooby itch that needs scratching!

Get yourself down the clinic for a course of antibiotics and you'll be right as rain, Jo!
Call me strange but I have always found the S2000 to BE a practical car!
Granted its not space wise but Sam does 70+ miles a day in all weathers mainly returns pretty good mpg (if shes behaving) and never swaps shoes!!??? And finds it comfy!
Cup holders........................!? I've heard it all now Jo!
Maybe a Jazz???!

Edd,I have to disagree with you there mate, the S is not a practical car, not compared to the likes of a 4 or 5 door saloon car. Let's be honest we all know that with the S's boot and storage we either "make do" or accommodate the fact that we are limited.
The Elise is even more so, so I am not doing a holier than thou, tbh i can't often take even a spare set of shoe laces with me
However, the fact remains and I do know that Sam uses her S everyday and it's all
but the S is not a practical car. And you do have the ATR, that is a practical car yet still potent. Jo is just thinking the same with the STi.
