[QUOTE=Moggy,Mar 2 2007, 12:09 PM]

I have become a lot more cynical of the police over the last 15 months-due to personal experience.

poor position of a mobile van which I think they should be ashamed of - but I do think your assessment of the danger of that road - which I travel a hell of a lot - is somewhat wrong.

The placement of that van is ludicrous!

I too drive/ ride this road frequently and feel it is a very dangerous spot (with off-camber corners and - in the wet - a very greasy surface, even since resurfacing!).

I also drive that stretch regularly - drove it yesterday - and while it is a shame they use a van there, and that they changed the southbound carriageway many years ago from 2 lanes to 1, I can understand why - mainly 'cos of the proximity of Box Hill, which attracts lots of very fast bikes who were always racing around there before the speed cams. It isn't the easiest stetch of road, and I can believe they have improved the safety record here....

Wow! Can't believe I'm speaking in favour of a speed trap!?

It's here now Alex. I collected on Friday and spent a few hours on Saturday giving a good polish and protective coat.

I have just started a thread with some pictures

If one has been "done" by that feckin` van that sits just North of Mickelham on the A24,how long does it take to come through;any ideas?
Extremely p1ssed off with myself if I have been as I drive the road frequently and my mind was elsewhere,but I was doing about 58 when I saw him,so a ticket is a distinct possibility. Fair cop I suppose if I have.

There is a little flexibility on that though Nick.

I think a couple of days extra in case of postal issues IIRC
