new X3 would be better and probably cheaper choice if you want something like that, had a go recently in the BMW and very refined - nice 8 speed auto - and it's as big as the original X5.

Yet again more instances of the Tron Legacy soundtrack in tonight's episode.

Once you notice something like that you keep on noticing.
the editor will place some music they know works (usually something they are familiar with).. until they find something better, which typically they don't hence a bit of repetition.. Brian Eno instrumental stuff get's used quite a bit if you know what to listen for..

I was surprised to hear rolling stones tonight.. the stones don't give freebies, so assuming it was original - I wonder what 15 seconds of gimmie shelter costs..
Propellorheads, Rob Dougan, hans Zimmer are often favoured

I've heard from numerous sources that Clarksons ability to drive in the capacity he would have you believe is questionable. Imagine an alternative view provided by her on the cars he cannot control. Would be rather amusing but yeah - it won't happen.

Hammy
Ive never hear Clarkson claim anything other than his drivign ability being pretty average / crap??

43K for the TOP model, it was high 20s for the base one - that's not bad value at all.

I liked the piece last night on the second hand cars for £6995. S2000 made an appearance which was good to see. Just goes to show that you really can pick up some bargains.

I thought it was hilarious though when Clarkson panicked, braked hard and nearly ran over those ducks crossing the road.

Why was it funny ? Would you have preffered that he had mown them down ?

It actually showed that his on screen persona is merely an act and that he's probably a very decent bloke.

WOW! top gear is now prioritising cars over the presenters. I watched last night out of boredom expecting the same old crap - rubbish jokes, staged BS and brown nosing JC. A complete turn-around! They taked about cars, genuine market pricing, actual pro's and con's.. To add to this they are actually going to run those cars for a few months to learn what they are like to live with.. Top Marks BBC. At last. A car show! You may have just won back a regular viewer.

The only reason they will do that is to prove May wrong so he has to shave his head in 2 weeks time
