Remember too, that people that need a car that big & brash may be very deeply insecure.
Hence the need to 'prove' something.
Tell you what, I do notice BMW drivers who DO indicate & drive considerately, so there must be something in it.
Now I know they're just rent-a-dents driven by those whose S2000s are in dock, it all makes perfect sense!
