Default Advice Needed, Please Help!

I am getting ready to buy a radar detector. I got a ticket a few months back and need to get one. Not that i am going to speed, its just especially at night, i get trailed all the time, so i need to know when i got cops on my a@@. Now the only problem with putting a radar detector in the S is that i am gonna have a damn cord stretching from my window across my whole car. Is there some way to avoid this?? I heard that wireless detectors blow, that true? And i dont want a valentine or anything real real expensive, just something normal. Is there a way to wire it so i dont have that cord all over my car? Please help!

It's a mount for a V1, but can be used with any detector that supports a remote display. I just mounted my V1 to the ztec camera bracket -- I removed the windscreen. I inset the remote display into the windshield trim just below the sun visor mount. If you're going to be at the Zaino clinic this weekend, feel free to take a look.

As far as wiring goes, if you stick with a windshield mounted detector, you can tap power from the map lights to eliminate the dangling cord.

I have also seen where people have removed the paneling running from the rearview down. and ran the wiring under that to the fuse box, or where ever they could hard wire it. i have never done it, but it is doable.
