I read that Honda issued a TSB for the original convertible top striker plates. Does Honda still replace these under Warranty/TSB? Or should I just go ahead and buy them from Hardtopguy and install them myself?

 

I had the ones on my car replaced free about 8 months ago or so, go by your dealership and ask, they should do it.

 

I had this done by the Honda dealership here in Augusta about a month ago under my extended warranty, but I think they actually put new softtop striker plates in. Either way, my top is quiet again. If these wear out, I will probably buy the HT plates and install them myself.

 

do u have copy of TSB? I just bought strikers from htg... just wondering what the TSB has to say about what models are affected, why it happens, and why the fix works... thanks!

 

I'm not sure what it exactly states. I will go by the dealership when I get a chance and see if they will give me a copy of it, plus I will check to see what they will do about the striker plates.

My S doesn't fall into this range... I wonder if the hard top strikers I got from Hardtopguy will make a difference
