I'd recommend a lawyer. I got a ticket one time which also resulted in reckless driving (automatic if you're 25 over the limit). The lawyer got the speeding dropped and a PJC on the reckless. About $300... plus I preemptively took a $100 BS defensive driving course to prove to the judge that I was sorry and willing to learn from my mistakes.

yea, if he wrote it for wreckless, you most definitely need a attorney.

speeding tickets are no big deal but you were over quite a bit....

if it were me,
id go myself first and see what the DA offers.
if i didnt like what they were offering, i would continue it and get a lawyer.

no sense in paying a lawyer if you can do the work yourself.

Yeah the ticket only has 1 charge on it for speeding. I dont think it was wreckless since there was no traffic, I was within all of the lines, the car was firmly planted but it was just a bit fast. I havent been able to find anything that says 25 over is automatically considered wreckless driving. Ive done several driving schools but all competition oriented so maybe a defensive driving school might be fun. Hopefully some of that education might play into my favor That being said I think Ill lawyer up because I have no experience with this sort of stuff and from what I understand the DA doesnt have to grant you a continuance which is to much of a gamble for me.

i ended up lawyer voodooing it up...called about 10-12 lawyers.. they all said the same thing. Mine came out to be about $600 total for everything (about $150 for attorney fees the rest is for speeding in a work zone)...word of caution dont speed in work zones its expensive!!

If it's just speeding he'll end up pjc-ing you out.

Sadly, I've gotten enough tickets now that I know exactly what to do. Lol.

Better plan on not speeding for a while.
Last time I used a pjc, I ended up getting 3 speeding tickets that year.
Just so happened to be the year I started thinking about buying a s but had to wait til my insurance came down.

That was a bad year!

Tim doesn't PJC unless it's a last resort. Since it was my first offense...I was not PJC'd for my 23 over.

One thing to consider with a PJC. For insurance purposes its one per household allowed every 3 years without insurance points being added.
