May 1-3 CMP(Carolina Motorsports Park)

I plan to be at all the SE dates, and all of the VIR dates. Spectators are allowed for a small fee at most tracks. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or just want to talk about getting on track.

I also wanted to back up what others have said about TurnOne at CMP. It's a very well run way to get on track for a relatively small amount of money. I would spend more time doing their days if I had the money. And you get LOTS of track time with them.

Thank you for all the HPDE info. Any suggestions as to which time is the best to go as a spectator to the NASA events? I know that I will not have a bar installed in my car anytime before late summer, but I would like to just hang out at the track. Maybe others want to do cruises or drives arround the area or just see other S's going at it. I know I have learned a lot from other drivers, particularly the Mid-A track pack.

I'd say VIR, RA, and BMP are probably the best for spectating. There are normally 2 races on Sat and 2 on Sun. Sat is probably better because everybody is busy packing Sun. I must warn you, don't come expecting to see a great race. But if you just want to enjoy the cars and the people, it's great. There are probably going to be more S2000's at VIR, than there almost ever are at the SE events. Since this is the Carolinas forum, I'd definitely just say come hang out at VIR sometime(we'll be ther next weekend).

The issue isn't with CMP, it is generally with Summit Point, VIR, and NJMP. I want to run track days on these tracks, and to that, I need a roll bar. Extra safety does not hurt as well.

VIR it is then. RA and BMP are a little too far to go as a spectztor only. I'll check the schedules for the race times.

Anybody coming to VIR this weekend? I'm guessing there will be a $10 spectator fee. If anybody decides to come, pm me and I can try to get you in free.

Where are you located? It's pretty widely accepted that RA is one of the best tracks in America. Assuming you are from the "Carolinas", it is closer than both Summit and NJMP.

If I am done early enough on Saturday I might drive up. If not, I'll try Sunday.

I have not told my fiance yet, so right now VIR is just a wish.
