If mental scanning cases eventually get to the Supreme Court within the next 10-30 years:
1. Would a vote allowing mental scanning as a safety guard for the state undermine all laws protecting individual freedoms and/or personal privacy?
2. Would a vote disallowing mental scanning as admissible evidence be blanket justification for Social Contract theory?
3. If given #2, whither the present Republican party as we know it?

2. Not exactly.
3. The Republican party would use it same old tricks to thrive in that environment. ie Fear, distrust, and anger.

Dear Monica*:
1. When will we get to see a picture of you and your significant other?
2. Why is raptor being so obnoxious, does he want to by forced to follow SF's Environmental Screening Levels?
3. When will you guys get different screen names, so we know who to bug?

Why is it necessary to nail down the lid of a coffin?
And if you have to leave the coffin sitting outside overnight, the nails prevent the raccoons and other critters from getting in and eating pieces of your loved ones.
Of course, modern coffins don't use nails.
