Given that there's a Democratic Congress, with a Democratic Senate likely, anticipate higher taxes and inflation across the board.

The single ray of hope in all of this though could be the elimination, or complete overhaul of, the AMT.

Talk with your financial adviser of course, but you may want to look into properties that would set up for a good 1031 exchange opportunity down the line. Apartments, Strip Malls, etc. . .

Also, consider buying that big-ticket item this year, maybe next, but no later.
