Brian,
I recently sold one of my Basses, a '91 Warwick Dolphin Wide 5 Neck Thru. Should I re-invest in another Bass, or buy something useful?

Unkie, have you heard of http://www.jennyscheinman.com/store.php?
Oddly enough, I think I might've worked with her many moons ago. . . unknowingly at the time. . .

Hmm. . . the acquisition of used books invokes a second usage on a nominal, and renewable resource. Once the book has been read twice, the carbon footprint of manufacture (being a one-time instance per book) is then halved.
You, on the other hand, will be consuming energy indefinitely to maintain a book that isn't even yours (oh yes, modern digital books received the same "love offering" as music. . . good luck with that).
Plus, if the power goes out, you're up shit creek.
And you can't burn bad .pdfs for warmth. . .

. . . some volumes will continue to be hard-bound. . . hell, some even with leather.
