I'm looking for a fun car.
S2k is still at the top of the list.
EVOs would be an okay choice if I can find a used one that hasn't been modded to shit. STis used suffer the same issue. My rank preference for the EVO has more to do with availability and depreciation rates than anything else.
At this point, I'd sooner get a Renault, err, Nissan 350z than an EVO or Subaru. I want a decent convertible to go cruising. Barring that, a car that's fun to drive.
Plan B is to chuck the E and just buy an MS3 (I still need enough room to carry amps and sound equipment).
I had an Evo as a company car and it was a TON of fun. But every tard boosts the crap out of it. That car was very cheaply made, think great engine and econo car body.
The Sube is better made, but has a mediocre suspension (yes really) and loses most of the performance comparos despite the paper parity. The farking gaskets leak too. I don't fit the subes because of the weird curve on the roof blocking my vision.
I ran the E46 M3 and that car is amazing. Much slower than a boosted Evo, but a perfect touring car. But not nearly as much fun as top down, and those are still 50k.
The Miate are OK. I have one for track runs (Spec M) and it is a lot of fun for very little money, but nothing like the other cars for real world.

I have to write a persuasive essay, but I don't know a good topic to write it on. any ideas?
You can take damn near anything, really.
The trick is to make sure that your argument is iron-clad with facts, that the facts are not overly-spun. . . and when you present the facts, that the facts are given background that supports your argument.
The Second Gulf War was not costly. At $80M/mo., it was the cheapest war the United States has ever engaged in. . . when quantified as cost/mo. versus GDP.
Frame your facts, don't frame your assertion.
Unkie, should I go on a mission to educate the Western world (or at least my housemates) on cellphone etiquette?
Seriously, who chooses to walk into a room while talking/laughing loudly on their phone for an extended period when they know damn well the person is struggling with an assignment?
