I had been using that for mom when I was back East. I wanted to stock up for a couple of weeks which meant buying meat, vegetables, and fruit, I like to look those things over and choose the ones that I want, For example, they had short ribs on sale at Safeway this week but when I went and looked them over they were all bone and no meat so I did not buy them. I'm not sure if the Instacart shopper would have been that picky. When i was ordering Instacart my mom told me that some of the shoppers looked like they took the time to pick out good stuff and others just grabbed the first thing and put them in the cart and sent them to her.

Yeah I hear ya on the meat, C-6 is fairly particular on Steak choices before we went back to using instacart we were going to the new Stater Bros down the HWY a bit, they have a really NICE Butcher Counter the case is really cool it has cold air visible inside he stocks up and uses the Vacuum Sealer to freeze them

I've had good luck with the shoppers even one that SHOWED me via the phone some veggie she thought looked better that might have been in the organic ones or something.

No, she is in a very limited clinical trial(5 people in her group). Three have passed away, one is doing poorly and my wife is doing good(great if you ask me). She was not suppose to make it to Christmas 2015, we were told we should celebrate it early.

Between UCSF and Kaiser the bills have added up to over $4 million and I quit counting a while ago. Some of the drugs cost are just obscene, she took a pill that cost $603 each and she took one a day for 3 1/2 years. They don't want her in the hospital to get her chemo even through she only goes every other week for a shot, not an IV of her what they call "chemo maintenance". They don't want her to get Covid-19 even by chance. So now she will take one pill every week on the same day and time for three weeks then take one week off, cost for those three pills right at $9k.

My wife and I get a high dose flu shot about one month before they are available to the public and then we get another one three months later. Been doing this since 2016 at UCSF, maybe she can get in line early for the vaccine because they told us back in Feb. if she got Covid-19 she would not make it.
All I know is UCSF takes blood from my wife every three months to check the DNA of her cancer if they can find it(sometimes they can't find it). All I know is it's way above my pay grade, I'm just glad she is still with us and having fun when we can take her S out for some long drives.

I hope your cousin gets well soon with no lingering effects from this hideous disease. May God Bless you all.

OMGooDness talk about making me about complaining that I won't have my family here this Christmas

Rod I liked this post for only 2 reasons: 1. Your willingness to open up and share the hardships you & your wife are dealing with right now.
2. Your kind wishes for my Cousin

THIS post is IMO probably the MOST important in this thread

SO many of us find things to complain about right now and here is @rrounds dealing with a hardship but I feel your NOT complaining

My thoughts are with you & your wife

If only more people could see things that are truly IMPORTANT right now.

I know your in the BA ( mom's home ) I will hope to meet you someday AND your Wife when the world is safe again.

Good grief! You sound like a very resilient couple. Wishing you both good health and good lives.
