Semi-Official Threadjack:

I'll have the Element paid off by the end of the year (according to plan). I'm considering buying a fun car/sunday driver. Cheap thrills would be ideal.

My list of possible fun cars/sunday drivers

Used S
Mazdaspeed Miata
1974 Caprice Classic Convertible
Alfa Romeo Spider
Some other arbitrary classic - Ford Fairlane?
e46 M3 'vert

arbitrary $$$ line - would require a minor act of god financially, and would have to be considered usable enough as a single car for a long while
usedBoxster/BoxsterS
used Cayman/CaymanS
used 335 coupe or vert
128i
135i
new Boxster

I think I'll hold off on this one until I have a better justification for a "family" car...
