we had cauliflower crust pizza tonight, they are okay, they are supposed to be a bit healthier but they will never taste as a good as an authentic neapolitan wood oven real pizza. As soon as the weather warms up I will be back to making my home made wood oven style pizza like this beauty above ^
Yeah for sure. I'm still working on the getting the dough recipe right to get that look. The ovens char pretty easy as they work at 750-900 degrees. It cooks the pizza in 90 seconds or less. You need to turn it regularly to avoid getting it burned as it faces the flame, but just a bit of char and bubbles is perfect. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it, lol.
We made bacon sandwiches today for lunch, thick cut bacon. We baked the bacon in the oven on a rack instead of frying. It comes out drier , as all of the fat drips down while baking. This is only the second time making bacon like this, and I like it. It almost looks like beef jerky
