I got a ticket today for a bad inspection sticker, it expired last month. Ok technically it was a fake sticker anyway. Im far from being able to pass normal inspection. Its a new car inspection sticker I got from a friend and in NJ, its good for 4 years. My cars an 02 it says it expires 07. The cop didnt do the math. Anyhow, I got the car inspected yesterday by another friend (yeah I have good connections) and I had the new legit sticker, but I havent put it on yet cause I was going to take my time pulling the old one off cause the windshield is tinted. I was half tempted to pull the sticker out of my glove box and say here it is, but I didnt need him asking anymore questions.

Anyhow, $130 ticket, can I fight it? Will they drop it once I prove the cars inspected or do I have to pay it either way? I wont mention the real reason I was pulled over, but this ticket was just a slap on the wrist since my work knows a lot of the local cops.

In PA is you get pulled for expired inspection you can show the receipt saying you took it for new inspection but it failed, you can get off, if you fix it and go to court with receipts, its like a fix-it ticket.

Have your friend give you a back dated receipt for the inspection and a receipt for brakes of something dated after the ticket.

Feel lucky, in PA a ticket for expired stickers is almost $400, plus the ticket for fake stickers is almost $400, if you have fake stickers they give you both tickets (i.e. fake stickers and no real stickers) ask me how I know....

I got yelled at by the judge when I got a break on a speeding ticket and tried to fight it. Didn't have any connections in that township

Fake stickers are so easy to spot by cops.

Anyway Jackson, its probably not worth fighting if you have to go to court and pay court fees.

It was in my dads car, they faded after 8 months, officer saw it at 30mph going the opposite way.

Don't fight it, they'll have to inform the cop that you are fighting it which means he'll say the real reason why he pulled you over (aka your not getting out of this ticket).

straight up...2-3 weeks ago i got pulled over doing 89 in a 55....i was coming home from a graduation in west chester university...and i was on 202N...the cop pulled me over and i was basically screwed if he woulda gave me the ticket for speeding as in 2 days i had a court apperence for my other 78.6 in a 45 ticket hahaha...

well i got crazy lucky and the cop came back and gave me a ticket for my cracked windshield....THERE'S A REASON WHY I DIDN'T GET IT REPLACED YET....OK@!!@#$!@#$ hehehe


just pay the ticket and be done with it...thats what i did with the cracked windshield one, there's no reason in hell to set yourself up to really get nailed...
