Inception...
What didnt make sense to me was that his father was waiting for him at the airport. Wasnt his father a professor in europe somewhere? I suppose maybe im looking into that too much but it seems as though his dad wouldnt fly to LA just to pick him up. That makes me thkink he's still dreaming
Well, he had delivered gifts, so there is reason to believe he'd be there.
But the whole "real world" end is very suspect:
1) dad is there
2) a single phonecall can solve immigration/criminal charges within 20 minutes
3) the idea that there are massive corporations and nefarious secret police, etc that need Cobb's help to do something revolutionary (stuff you'd dream about)
etc etc
I'm not saying it's a dream, I honestly don't think it matters...just stuff to think about.

i think the point is that c nolan purposefully and thoughtfully did not make it clear cut. i figure thats obvious from just cutting the scene right before the top falls.
its not just the things you mentioned to think about. the whole last scene was shot in an ethereal dreamy state. again to throw off conclusions.
im content that it just doesnt matter. its a FILM, but the genius of leaving it ambiguous is like trying to focus on our own dreams and making sense of them, like we all are of this film.
if there are more clues or more things to notice the 2nd or 3rd time around, thats cool. just makes this a great movie, and great for box office/dvd sales.
btw i read a clue is in the costumes each person goes into the next dream with. i dunno, something else to notice, more than just what the kids are wearing.

The whole movie is a dream. He's in a deep comatose state. His wife is at his side trying to get him to come back. She's the one working to plant an inception... to get him to wake. The other characters are projections of his own sub conscience.

the ending leaves you to decide for yourself, but in my opinion it didn't matter, because ultimately decaprios character was in a state of fulfillment with his children again, which was the premise of his whole motivation throughout the movie. be 50 years in the dream or reality.
great movie.
great movie.
