There could be MANY categories.
I would also reccomend against an actual trophy just from the "how do I get this home now" standpoint. A plaque or certificate would be good.

It would be paper.. no one will be hauling a dozen plaques (good point about trophies) down to Fontana. It's an s2000, not a minivan (well, your car has some grocery-getter like features)..maybe we can have you haul them down..

Thanks for volunteering!!!
Car show?!?! The cars should be ripping up the Dragon and the other roads, not parked doing nothing.
As for charity, how much is an adopt a highway? I saw lots of signs where you can do that. Maybe S2ki.com can get a sign on one of the roads in the area?

Don't get me wrong...
I like the idea of a car show, it's just winners vs. losers that I don't like. That always causes drama. It's natural that we open hoods and check out the rides. It's a good thing.

Willie, I bet you are one of those people who think dodge ball is a bad idea in schools too because somebody might lose and get their feelings hurt.
As to the car show: If you think its a dumb idea don't participate. Love driving the roads but I also like to pop the hood and show off what (little) i have done in the engine bay.

There are a lot of really great ideas being put out there...I think we also need to be careful not to "over-organize." Too many people running too many events may turn out to be more chaotic and less enjoyable.
Just my $0.02.
Just my $0.02.

Life has winners AND losers, gonna have to get used to it sooner or later.

As a competitor in Auto-X, believe me I know winning and losing. But a judged car show at the Dragon, meh... it's a little distracting from the fun to be had. All of the sudden a gathering becomes a competition. Might change what is otherwise a very friendly vibe.
