What kind of two way radios will you guys be using. where is the cheapest to buy a set??

You can get them at Walmart.... If possible, get the type that has the sub-channels or whatever they are called!

what are sub-channels?? I have never heard of this. What does it do. Are we talking about the motorolla 2-way radios or another brand?

FRS radios. The standard radios have 14 channels, while upmarket models have "side channels" for each main channel. Motorola, Cobra and GE are just a few brands.

Get a headphone device too. That way if somebody broadcasts while you're driving, you don't have to grab the unit and stick it up to your ear in the hope you'll be able to make out what they're saying before they finish saying it. One with a microphone isn't necesary, IMO.
