Bra option
Hi everyone,
I just found a product that looks very cool. It eleminates the need for a bra to protect the front our our
S2000's It is a 3M protective film. There is a company that has a kit custom cut for the S2000. I am thinking about a group buy. This product should be installed by a professional. I have found someone in the Ft. Lauderdale area.
This product works like very thick window film, it gets applied directly to the painted surfaces of the car and protect the paint. Here is a link to the manuacturer. Please let me know if you are interested group purchase. I'm relativley sure I can work a discount from the shop.
Thanks
Mitch

You may want to research this a little more before you go and buy it. I know there have been some threads from people who have bought this saying that it is highly visible and that it makes the paint job look cheap.
After weighing all of the advantages and disadvantages of a car bra vs. clear shield, I opted for the bra.
The main advantage of the bra compared to clear plastic film is that it is less expensive by several hundreds of dollars! Also, a bra can be used when appropriate and removed when desired. It protects the front of the car better than a clear shield, it doesn't complicate damage repair, and is simple to install. The main complaint about using a car bra is paint damage, but I've not experienced this problem. I keep the car and bra clean and only use the bra for long trips or when the weather is clear (like now). I've picked up a lot of chips from travel on I 595 (darn gravel trucks!) when not using the bra and recommend some type of front end protection for our car.

I'm gonna have this done, A friend of mine owns a window tint shop in Tampa, He is going to be selling and installing this product in a month or two, Of course I'm gonna let him learn process, before i bring him my S. I have howver purchased a bra in the mean time. I'll let you know how it turns out
