Front Windshield Vinyl
Well I sold my Works, now I want to peel the black vinyl off around my windshield. Is there any particular way to do it? Should I be aware of any potential problems? A quick how-to would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Just grab the edge and pull it off. It should come off in one or two big pieces I
think some people have better luck if
the car has sat in the sun for a while which makes the glue come off
eaiser. My car hadnt sat in the sun when i pulled mine off. Most all of the
glue came off with adheasive remover.
Good luck and hope your paints not scratched up under the tape

Is it the same quality of paint?
scratched up underneath, while some turn out to be perfect. Mine had about a
2"x2" scratched up spot in the middle. Theres a thread somewhere that explains
why the paint is like that.
Since the factory knows that all the cars (except berlina) get the tape, they have no concern for any paint flaws, clearcoat flaws or scratches in the area covered by the tape. Sometimes its perfect under there but most times it is not.
IMHO it only looks right with a hard top. Otherwise it looks like a big handle on the car. The black tape was originally devised to give the car a more finished look with the top up. When the color is exposed, it breaks up the flow of all the rest of the black that is created by the windows, windshield and top.
Be careful. Dont be suprised if the paint is damaged in some way
