So I'll be in the parade lap coming up, and I had some questions as to how it goes. First of all, the driver or celebrity that you get is determined by a random drawing at some point correct? Can you have a passenger in the car - my wife wants to know?

I will defer to Rob on the Official answer for this but typically the person you are escorting sits on the Secret compartment with their feet either in the floor board of the passenger side (if they are tall enough) or most times with their feet in your passenger side seat bottom. This makes it impossible for a passenger to be in the seat with the secort.

You will have to remove your windscreen (easy to do and can be done in less than 5 minutes) and I bring 2 large black towels (to match my interior) I use one of the towels to cover the area where their bottom will be and the other towel to cover my seat bottom so they can put their feet there and I don't worry about my leather. Even with the towel in the seat I would be cautious if you get a lady with high heels so as not to poke a hole in the seat bottom leather.

 

The celeb/dignitary was chosen by the organizers. The drivers were all in specially decaled Ridgelines.

No passenger was allowed.

thursday night parade you will most likely have a race driver in your car

no passengers allowed for feet room reasons and security

during the actual parade(s) the VIP will be on the top of the secret compartment...traveling to and fro the parade route on thursday the VIp willbe in apassenger seat for safety reasons...we stage at pit row on thursday and have police escort to parade course and from parade course to the pier
