Supermeet Suggestion Thread
^^^^ duly noted....we realized the food end had some shortcomings and will be doing much more research on that end in the future.
Our grandious attempts at the menu will be reigned in a bit as well. a much more streamlined menu and more suitable choices will be addressed. Fries will never translate well unless done on site and having to prep the hot food offsite was a hindsite mistake.
I like the BBQ idea but we will want to have an onsite cook and have the stuff done fresh . The slaw and salad I thought went ok but if they ran out of provisions early, that would be a problem.
maybe we do a later meal time to allow late-comers to get there as well.
Give me feed back on the following ideas:
Group drive before or after the main event?
Obviously more vendors and raffle items but should we split up the raffle and do some early and then some later to offer those that had to leave a chance to win something?
Keep the raffle to actual tangible items or gift certificates? Services are great, but those who traveled far cant really use service vouchers??
keep it coming. all suggestions will be taken and evaluated

I'm no longer a member because the only benefit I saw from my paid membership was the ability to use the For Sale forum, which I used once and my post got deleted.
Being a member and paying dues should, in my honest opinion, contribute to these kinds of events. It has been mentioned in the past that local advertising (and sponsors?
) and the revenues from it were to be used in this fashion. Can anyone confirm or deny this?My only suggestion would be to have the group photo session immediately after lunch and not at the end of the day. I think this time slot works best because it captures the most people/cars. I don't know the actual numbers ... but, i'm guessing from the photos there were probably 20+ S2000's that were not in the final picture (understandably because of time/travel constraints). To help aid that group photo process ... maybe even have the original parking arrangement (upon entry) lined up in a way that makes the shot possible without having to move the cars again and maybe even have the participating sponsors included in the shot as well.

There may be a logistical reason for that not being possible that i'm not aware of.
In the end ... it was a GREAT event especially considering this was the first of its kind for our area. And i think the location aided in the total numbers that was realized. Thanks especially to Indyana and Primogen. You guys are amazing with the limited resources you have.

Everything was good. The only thing that sucked for me was that I had to leave early and while I am at It did I when anything primo?
I even gave your tickets to a trusted "employee" to claim if you did win...sorry
^ Rob ... group drives, for me, is more about enjoying the sight of so many S2000's together ... not about experiencing the dynamics of the car itself. I think that should be reserved for a less congested arena.
I think the group drives are great for the 'spectacle' of the group. I would rather put speed-limiters on the all the cars to avoid just one mishap.

after our fiasco with the Elise (i am sure you remeber that day) and Jvrabel's mishap, I have taken a much more conservative perspective on the whole idea of group drives...they should be called group strolls.
I dont want to deflate anyone's experience but maybe a paradigm shift in everyones expectations of these drives would be a good thing.

It was awesome all the way around. Did seem to be a bit of a long lull between eating and the raffle though so maybe the group picture, as already noted, could be bumped up to after lunch but before the raffel to fill the void. More vendors is a good idea as long as they are seeing value as well.
