XISTENCE PLEASE RESPOND...
He recieved one harness because I would not let him take the seats without seatbelts in my vehicle. So he rigged it in case I wanted to drive it that weekend. He said he would be back on monday which he never came, never called, wouldn't return calls. Actually I could even get my cell phone records to prove how many times I called him, since supposedly I never called. My fiancee was right there when he was trying to figure out a way to rig the harness to the oem seat so he could take the seats home that night.
This is not about the money, this is about the principle. You dont make an agreement with someone and go back on it after you have already taken the merchandise. He tried to get rid of the seats because no one wanted to trade for just one oem seat so he needed them both back. Realizing this he figured he might aswell keep the seatbelts and screw me. He thought I had plenty of money I would just buy some new ones, and not track him down. I dont know about you guys but the one thing I hate is being screwed and lied to, after working hard to have a nice things.

Chad: Did you or did you not make a verbal commitment to return to to his house with the seatbelts??
either way it is one persons word against the others. I do not think we have the power to do anything about it. We will never know the truth.
It is up to one or both of you to reach an agreement. Chad, if you made a commitment to return with the belts then stick to it. James, if he said he would think about coming back then, he obviously thought about it and decided against it.
The situation sucks for everybody but how are we to come to a solid conclusion??
Like I said before, somebody is going to have to be the bigger man on this one and take it on the chin one way or another.

He already admitted to it a couple of posts ago
"When I went to do the swap, it was brought up at the end of the whole swap, after spending forever to do it and I absentmindedly was like, "yeah whatever."
He said he would also take care of it a couple of posts ago.
"I am sure that this can be resolved, I just want to find the least costly way to do it. "
Now he's backing out becuase he checked around and found out that seat belts are a few hundred dollars each. Since he is a college kid he cannot afford this and is trying to back out. Thats bs he needs to stick to his agreement he made. I would hope you wouldnt let this kid sell anything else on this forum after all of these problems he has had, until he makes good with everyone.

I like how you're trying to play Mr. CSI and formulate a supposed "modus operandi," but you're completely wrong. I'm not going to stoop down to insults and say assume why this happened or why that happened.
I'm standing firm on my decision. The only thing I promised was that you're car was in no driveable condition with rusted out floorboards.

I've done plenty of good business with people on this board, including CO's.
If you want to ban me, then ban me, but taking the word of a non-paying member who is rarely on here with no history at all over someone who has been here a long time just does not seem right.
No concrete verbal agreement was made, no contract was signed, no monies were exchanged. Plus, I'm poor right?

Who are you his brother? Thats not the point. The point is he made a deal and took the seats with everything I had. They were bolted down in my car. He obviously new he would have to do the same or buy rails. He took them anyway, now he is not making good on his deal.
I was just making a point based on both of your posts in this thread. He bought the rails that you didn't include. He never said the seats themselves were badly damaged or anything, so the new buyer being happy could in fact be because he was able to easily bolt them into his car. Without the rails, that buyer may not have bought them in the first place.
I wasn't defending him really, I could write a number of analogies for this but what's the point?

Chad you have had a couple of run-ins with people regarding sales/trades or whatever so, to me, the burden of proof would be with you. I do not see people complaining about this other guy, I do however see people chiming in about inconveniences with you. So, from a purely empirical point of view I would say you have something to defend yourself about.
I am NOT saying you are wrong in this case but you may have more of a case against you given the iffy track record you have had. Call your past dealings circumstantial if you want, but it wont change people's perception.
Is it right or fair to make this assumption, no, but the fact remains that more than one person has brought you up and nobody is railing against this other guy.
I dont think there is an answer to this. Its the ol' irresistable force meets an immovable object scenario.
well you cant really say that no one railing against this guy means anything...none of us know him and the only reason he began posting and the only reason he posts in this forum is to call out xistence...i dont really care who is right or wrong in this situation but i definately think this should not be played out in a public forum...this deal did not occur through s2ki...this needs to be taken behind the scenes like it has before...the last thing anyone in here wants is new members reading this crap...
True that. I feel that a deal made on another forum is none of our business and we had another thread recently about another deal that was the same way.they have tried the PM route before. Nick and I decided to air this out so to speak and reopen the thread a couple of weeks ago.
I had locked it down with the quickness but we decided it was better to keep it open in hopes they would reach an agreement.
It's about Schlage time again IMHO because it is clear there will not be a resolution. I will let Nick decide when he has had enough this time
All I have asked from the beginning is for the seatbelts you promised you would bring back if I let you take the seats that night. I have been very cool and patient up until this point. I am now getting extremely frustrated with you trying to get out of the deal you made. If the shoe were on the other foot, you would be pissed too! Obviously you made the deal my fiancee was right there as you were figureing out how to rig the one harness to hold me over till that monday. You already half heartedly admitted to it, now make good on it. Again all I ask is you do the right thing. Remember, you are the one who called me, who constantly bugged me for those seats, now you wanna screw me too?
