Don't put so much on

Try a toothpick while its still damp. When applying, apply conditioner to rag. Then apply to the sides of the seat where there are no holes. Once most of the conditioner has been absorbed by the rag, then go over the perforated area.

What are you using?

I have had good results with Lexol...it doesnt seem to clog the "perfs". I also use micro fibre towels to apply.

try a conditioner in a spray bottle and use semi-sparingly. That said, my favorite is still the pastey stuff... the toothpicks are next to the bottle.
