Gotcha... I might be interested in a couple of parts Debbie..

Specifically:

- Trunk lining
- driver side roll hoop
- sun visors

I can help you take the car apart if needed as well.

Wow, I'm very sorry/sad to hear this....it's shocking to see something like this just happen out of no where. You seem in very good spirits for having your car flame up on you and I commend you for that. Keep that attitude and something positive will surely arise from this situation. Good luck and glad you were safe!

Debbie & Duane - I followed the "train" out to your place but missed the turn (I guess I was too far behind).

I'm glad you made it to Stef's last nite, safe and physically unharmed. At "The Site", I couldn't get over the powerful smell of burnt plastics. Did you see the asphalt was melted where the air cleaner melted into it? I saved a "memento" from my first S - a tail light lens. Your passenger-side headlamp was sure effected by the heat! Maybe an interior part like the shift knob might be appropriate for you...

Sorry for your loss. And thank goodness you're safe.

Ron

Thanks Ron- The smell is still pretty intense tonite still. We'll see how this all pans out; but I may keep the seats. Although the shift knob sounds like a great idea also.

Maybe I can get my luck to change .... like play powerball or something!!!

We have a guy interested in the whole car maybe. We'll see.

I don't know when or now; but I will have another one some day.

The CRX ia a nice suv! Good space but not a huge automibile and decent gas mileage for its size.
CRX is civic hatch. CRV is the SUV

Well the oil filter looks to be the culprit. Duane says the gasket appears to be the problem. Now our garage has a nice burnt smell to it!!!

Will probably be parting her out soon. Keep you updated.
