This has been solved with some of the new sets. They have upped the refresh rate. This technology, though, is only on the $$$$$ sets right now.
I remember trying to play Doom2 on a laptop (in, like 1997 or something goofy like that) and that had some motion blur problems.

It's done. And it's FANTASTIC!
I ended up going to a Samsung 46" LCD. I have a lot of ambiant light that I cannot control, so plasma was out right there.
They suggested I hook it up to make sure it was working right, so I fired up COD right away with the TV just sitting on the floor.
I have MORE than double the ammount of glass in front of me now, and my score was up in all three of the games I played. It makes a MONSTROUS difference!

Yeah, I have payments now, and it is more than $15 /mo. However, it is less than $85 a month. I will just setup an automatic, reoccuring payment from my bank, and it will be fine. $85 a month won't make a dent in my budget, so I am not worried about it.

I didn't spring for the 120Hz technology. It was too spendy. Even panning and spinning in COD4 wasn't an issue with it. It may not be the end-all-be-all, but it is very good.

You wouldn't get motion blur, it's more of a delayed signal as it is being processed.
