Default Infinity Basslink 10" Powered Sub in Spare Tire Compartment ???

Please help ?? I just saw this enclosed powered 10 " sub from Infinity.

http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S-hhdcE...fo&i=108BASSLIN

I was wondering if anyone knows if it'll fit in the place where the spare tire is ?? The horizontal mounting dimensions are W=14.5", H=9.5", D=15.1875" . If anyone has tried this solution for bass or a similar one, please advise me. I am willing to give up the spare tire for some fuller sound. If you have the dimensions of the spare tire space, that would be helpful also!

Thanks in Advance...

I picked up one at Circuit City and was planning on putting it somewhere in the trunk. It is actually quite large and would not fit well anywhere in the trunk (other than in the tool well).

It would not fit inside the spare - but I did not try it in place of the spare (may fit ok firing upwards).

It sounded OK - but not good enough to stop me from returning to CC.

Best solution is to pick one up at a Circuit City and try it out (for fit and to see if it matches your musical taste) - if it does not work out you will already have your amp, remote turn on and audio wires ran to the back of the car and can return it for a refund (gotta love CC and BestBuy return policies)

Thanks for the reply. I actually went up to CC and listened to it in person. I don't know if it was just because it was in the open or what, but I was very dissappointed. For a 10" sub/200 watts rms it was very weak sounding IMHO. It was just an idea though to save the trunk space.

I have the Basslink.

I know people's opinions are so subjective, however I like mine. It does save space, which is very important to me. With the Basslink, I can fit 2 sets of golf clubs in the trunk. The Basslink will not rock the neighborhood, but it does improve the bass response inside the cabin.

Not that I've said that, I am thinking about upgrading to the JL Stealthbox. My problem is mounting the amp in an area I can save space. I'm NOT willing to lose my spare, and I still need to fit the 2 sets of golf club quota, so it will likely go inside between the seat and the rear panel, if I can find one with a cooling fan with a side vent that can run the JL Stealthbox and 2 6.5" at 100x2 rms. Have not found one yet, but have not looked hard either.

As for my Basslink, it will move to my Explorer if I execute the JL idea.

The big deterrent is cost. A JL Stealthbox + the amp I want will be over $1000. And again, I'm happy with what I have. So, I'm likely to keep what I have weighted against the cost.
