SRS light is on.
Hi,
What would cause this light to come on? What wire could be unplugged? I have an AEM and the motor was taken out and put in along with everything else that transpires. I just noticed it so it may have just come on or could have been on for longer but it really isn't all that noticeable till later at night. Point me in a direction and I will look to see what happens.
Thanks
Chris

I guess the safest thing to do would be to start with checking fuse#1, which is the SRS fuse (bottom, left row).
After that, diagnosing SRS problems is a tedious and potentially dangerous thing to do. There are a multitude of connectors and sensors that need to be checked and there is always a chance that an airbag could explode in your face. Best leave this up to a qualified professional.

If the technician has 2 s2k's at his disposal you can hot swap the Diagnostic tester between the 2 cars to get the tester to communicate with the SRS controller in your car. Otherwise the EMS won't let the tester go past the 1st VIN entry screen.
You really need a code to determine the problem. You didn't remove the seatbelts or rollhoops with the key on did you?

When the SRS light came on in my car I soon noticed that the cruise control stopped working too. The cable reel ribbon cable got a kink and broke. So test your cruise control and horn. It's possibly the cable reel.
Here are some photos of what happened in my case. Good luck.

Thank You. I will start with the fuse then do the reset. I will be working on the car on Saturday (I gotta get her cleaned up and repaint the calipers. Everything else on the car turned out great) so I will update then. Thank you for the fast responses.
