Default Anyone else have trouble using the heel-toe

I am struggling a little, it will just take some getting used to because of the placement of the pedals compared to my 05 miata where there was a wider gap between the brake and accelerator and i could turn my foot at an angle to do it, the s2k's pedals are much closer and i am struggling to brake and rev at the same time.

All in good time i suppose.

Anyone else have this problem when they first got the car and were used to other cars?

You'll probably get used to it in due time as you mentioned in your post below

When I switched from my Prelude to my S2K, I also noticed that the Prelude's pedals were farther apart--however, I prefer the closeness of the S2K's pedals once I got used to it--much easier to "heel and roll."

S2k is one of the easiest cars to heel-toe. The car was designed for the track enthusiasts.

I can't heel-toe exactly (size 13 shoe), but the same effect can be achieved with "heel and roll" putting the ball of your foot on the brake and pronating your foot to blip.

Keep working on it, Brit! I've never been able to get comfortable with it. That's not a statement about the S, it's about my own duck-footedness.

Regarding the "heel and ball" technique... I find it much easier too. This link has a semi-decent description of how to pull it off, but more importantly it has a photo showing the left isde of the foot on the brake with the right side over the upper half of the gas - just right for this method.

if you watch those best motoring (or whatever they're called) videos, some have a camera on the driver's feet. i heel-toe like how those guys do it...push on the brake like normal, but then i angle out the heel of my right foot and stab at the gas. it's pretty easy...i find that way much easier than that other way where people use the left side of their foot for the brake and the right side for the gas.
