Default First timer over here, virgin blood

What's going on!
I am new to the forum and new to the S2k platform. I was on the hunt for an S for a couple months now, finally pulled the trigger on one fairly local to me. 2005 Ap2 in Grand Prix white, which is my second favorite right behind Championship white, why Honda didn't offer the color for S2000's blows my mind.
Anyways, I'm not new to the car scene, although I have been absent from it for several years. I got really into cars when I saw the first Fast and the Furious movie (how cliche, I know). I can appreciate nice domestic cars, but my heart has always been with the import tuner scene.
I am excited to be part of a car community again, especially one like this. I was lurking all over this forum during my hunt for the right car, and I learned a lot from the members, by just reading things that were posted here. I look forward to learning more, hopefully contributing and maybe even meeting some of you. I have seen a few S cars around my area over the last few months.
I'm located in Sacramento, CA (NorCal)

Here's a pic of my buddies FK and my new toy. Our friendship started because of cars, and it was awesome how stoked he was for me to finally have a fun car again

Congratulations, looks beautiful. It would be interesting how the look would change once you start playing with the color of the wheels, if and when you do.

Welcome! I live east in El Dorado Hills. You should stop by the Coffee and Cars on the weekend. You should also check out Driving Ambition in Rancho Cordova near Costco. They specialize in S2000s and NSXs. Race a lot.

I love the yellow! Thanks for the heads up, I'll be sure to look them up, when is cars and coffee usually? My buddy with the FK lives in Folsom and I used to work out there. I'm looking forward to meeting some locals!

I wasn't a huge fan of the white wheels when I originally saw pics prior to buying the car, but it has grown on me. I will absolutely be putting some different rims on in the future though. I've always been a fan of white cars on bronze wheels, but black can look pretty good too depending on the wheel. Only time and of course money will tell lol

The prior owner for me, painted the wheels part yellow. It was a good match for the car color but I could not take it over time. I have repainted my wheels twice (learning curve) now and it has held up well. I used Duplicolor. I will probably do another in the next couple of years.

Before and after! That first pic was the Sonora Pass coming back from Phoenix.

Its nice seeing a "car guy" owner as opposed to flippers the s2000 seems to be attracting.

Welcome and have fun!
