Talking hoping to get an S2000 soon

Well, hopefully sometime soon I hope to trade my 2003 Civic Si in for an S2000, and I can't wait. At first, I used to love that car, but after a year of owning it I'm starting to hate it. FWD + open diff. = Not to mention the US version came with the K20A3 engine which came from the base model rsx. So wish me good luck!

I'd like to hear from the owners out there, how are S2000s for daily driving? I've heard they are pretty comfortable and what not. Also I heard to stay away from the 2001s because of some tranny problems?

thanks

The general feeling seems to be that MY04+ are better DD, a little more low-end torque and some other changes make it a bit more comfortable and liveable. As for the tranny problems, you may be referring to the clutch buzz issues which tend to occur w/MY00 and MY01. More of an annoyance than a serious issue. Make sure to get good all-weather tires and, if in a snowy climate, even a second set of winter treads.

I was thinking of putting snow tires on the rear during the winter lol. I'm hoping to look at/test drive one next week.

5'9 and 185 lbs (a lot of meat )

I've sat in a S2000 before, it sure was roomier than I expected. I thought it was gonna be cramped like a Miata lol
