Hi Everyone,
I can not believe what I have done this past Friday. I have been looking for an used s2000 for quite sometimes and my impluse buying has made me a proud owner of a nfr s2k. Its a 2000 model with 53k miles on it. I was not even sure on Friday if I did the right thing but now, I am quite happy.
I saw the car advertised on the website at a local dealer for a fairly good price ($15k) . I hopped in my WRX and drove straight to the dealer. A test drive and a few hours later, I was driving home with an s2k. I am keeping the wrx for the winter.
The dealer I bought the car from allows me to return the car for a full refund within 5 days, so I am planning on dropping the car off at a mechanic for a complete diagnostic test. (I hope everything turns out well)
A little bit about the car: The car is already lowered (not sure if it is a good sign or bad) but it rides fine and does not bounce around at all. In addition to the lowered suspension, it also came with an AEM cold air intake. I do not believe there is any other mods.
If the car is a keeper, I am planning on changing all the fluids.
Please let me know if there is anything I should do as well. On the bad side, the car did not come with an owner's manual and hence I have to go order one now.
Just wanted to share my experience and introduce myself.

same here lol. Was helping my ex out by dropping her off to pick up her civic from the Honda dealership. Saw a NFR on the showroom next thing I know I take a 03 silverstone out for a test drive. The next week used the money I was going to use towards investment property and signed the papers for the NFR sitting on the show room floor lol. Did I make a bad decision......who cares I'm having fun and loving this car lol.
Good luck with your S remember to check the oil and for the love of god warm the car up to the full 3 bars before vtecing lol. I read way too much threads about people wondering what happened to there car cause they were ripping through vtec on a cold engine lol.

Congratulations on your new purchase! My used S2K purchase in late 2004 was definitely impulsive. I test-drove the car thinking I'd never buy it, but walked away that night with a set of keys and a receipt. To this day I am thrilled to own one.
Peace,
Francis

Maybe the manual is in the "secret compartment".
